Escallonia (Escalloniaceae) is a genus of broadleaf evergreen shrubs from the Americas, typically reaching 5 to 10 feet tall with growth of about 12 inches per year. Small, oval, glossy green leaves create a dense form. Masses of pink, white, or crimson flowers bloom from June through October, sometimes fragrant.

Escallonia is commonly used as hedging, especially in coastal exposures. Cultivars include 'Compakta,' 'Newport Dwarf,' and 'Pink Princess.' Detailed cultural requirements and pest/disease data have not been fully documented.
