Wall germander is a low perennial from Mediterranean regions of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. It reaches under 1 ft tall with a spreading, horizontal growth habit and produces two-lipped, magenta-pink flowers in dense terminal spikes from June to August.

Germander prefers full sun and well-drained, sandy soil (pH 6.0-8.0) in zones 5a-9b. It is drought-tolerant, low-maintenance, and attracts bees and butterflies. It tolerates rabbits, deer, and poor soil, making it well-suited to dry garden conditions.
