Star jasmine (confederate jasmine) is a broadleaf vine from Japan and China reaching 10-20 ft with a climbing form and dark green, medium-textured foliage. It produces fragrant white flowers from May to June with a jasmine-like appearance.

Star jasmine is hardy in zones 8a-9b and grows best in sun to part shade with adaptable, moderate-moisture soil (pH 5.5-7.0). Growth is fast with medium maintenance requirements. It is useful as a groundcover or climber and tolerates medium drought stress.
