Dwarf periwinkle is a broadleaf groundcover from central and southern Europe with prostrate, stoloniferous growth. It produces solitary lavender-blue flowers and has dark green, coarse foliage that forms dense mats.

Dwarf periwinkle is hardy in zones 5a-8b and prefers part shade with adaptable, low-moisture soil (pH 5.5-7.7). Growth is moderate with medium maintenance and exceptional shade, drought, and erosion tolerance. It spreads via stolons and is useful for naturalization, though it has weed potential in some regions.
